Counterfeiting in Europe: alarming figures

On the occasion of World Anti-Counterfeiting Day on Thursday 6 June 2019, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) published an investigation into the impact of counterfeiting on employment and sales across Europe and the results are appalling: counterfeiting is estimated to cost 11 key sectors of the European economy €60 billion each year.
